At age 22, she has her real estate license and is already investing! Q: Who was your first business mentor? 

A: My Grandpa was my first business mentor. He owns a tire shop and we would get up at 5:00 am to go there. On our way to his shop he would always say to me “If you want anything good in life you have to work for it.”

Q: Who was your first real estate mentor? 

A: Besides watching YouTube, I don’t have one. I’m learning as I go. I’m learning from my mistakes. I am educating myself non-stop.

Q: How many properties do you own? 

A: One as of now, my niche is just fixing and flipping.

Q: When did you start investing? 

A: I started investing at 21, My goal was to buy a property to flip before turning 22.

Q: Why do you invest? 

A: I invest for a few reasons. My short answer is because about 90% of wealthy people become wealthy because of real estate.
My long answer is because I admire everything about real estate; the stability it brings, the freedom. I love to travel and spend time with my family. I also consider myself unemployable so I have no choice but to do what I am passionate about.

Q: What is the most valuable advice you have received? 

A: “If you want anything good in life you have to work for it.” -Grandpa

Q: What is the best advice you could give a new investor? 

A: Here are a few:
– Learn to screen potential business partners, contractors, and any person that will be a part of your business.

– Mistakes will happen so don’t quit, just plan a bit better.
– Invest in your dreams!
– Get a house inspected before buying it.
– Having integrity is everything!

Q: What is the most valuable lesson you have learned in real estate? 

A: Ask questions! Never stop learning! Pay attention to the numbers because all deals are not good deals! When you fall or make a mistake get your butt back up and try a different way but don’t quit.

Q: Is there a place for you where time slows down?

A: On a long-distance flight and in a classroom.

Q: What is a must-read book you would recommend?

A: Fear is a Four-Letter Word by Tracy Tutor.

Q: Do you have any hobbies? 

A: My hobbies are bass fishing, kayaking, traveling, going to drag races, running 5k’s spending time with family, and doing other adventurous things, including putting in sweat equity into my fix and flips.

Q: If you weren’t investing in real estate you would be_______.

A: I have absolutely no clue.

Q: If you were to start over_______.

A: Well, I’m only 22 so I’m just getting started and every day is a new day to become great!

Q: When / how were you introduced to Auben?

A: My property that I’m currently flipping is right next to Auben’s office. I had just passed my real estate license test and decided to give them a call about hanging my license with them. I had also traveled to Chattanooga and saw one of their billboard signs and I just took that as my sign from the universe. They have been awesome ever since!

A: They are more than I expected them to be!
