Here with tips and insight, is Vance Courtney, Investor

Q: Who was your first business mentor?

A: TBD as I am growing my business, but honestly I would give credit to Michael Michalowicz and Gino Wickman for their books on building a business.

Q: What is a “must read” book you would recommend?

A: I have to give 3 answers for this because all 3 of these books have changed my life. Rhinoceros Success by Scott Alexander is the core foundation of my business, then there is the Go-Giver by Bob Burg which has truly repositioned me as the man I am today. Finally The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity by Edwene Gaines is what guided me to the have the most prosperous life I could have imagined and allowed me to find my way as a Christian.

Q: What is the best lesson you have learned in real estate?

A: There is always another deal around the corner.

Q: When did you start investing?

A: 2009

Q: What is your favorite podcast?

A: Tax Free Wealth

Q: Why do you invest?

A: Initially, I thought it was “Financial Freedom” but that’s not the real answer anymore, for me it’s Time Freedom.

Q: Do you have any hobbies?

A: I am a tech nerd at heart so anything with technology.

Q: Why do you Invest?

A: Investing in real estate is a great way to accumulate wealth. I’m investing, not so much for today but for 20 years from now.

Q: What is the best advice you could give someone else?

A: “Success leaves clues” – Jim Rohn. READ BOOKS, there are years of experience and wealth being passed on to us for less than “pennies on the dollar”. Millions of dollars available at your fingertips for a few hundred dollars and your time investment into a few books.

Q: Is there a place for you where time slows down?

A: I don’t think I have a place. I try to do things I enjoy so much that I feel like time flies by.

Q: When were you introduced to Auben?

A: I was introduced to Auben through my company SOS Home Offers working with other investors to source deals and pass those deals onto other investors.

Q: If you weren’t investing in real estate you would be_______.

A: Working in the tech space as a systems engineer which I’ve done previously and enjoyed doing.

Q: If you were to start over_______.

A: I rarely like to think about starting over because it’s truly not about the destination but the journey. Starting my real estate journey back in 2002 may have been nice, however, I’ve truly enjoyed every aspect of my life and the experiences. I don’t think I would change it for anything at this point.

Q: I am happy I chose Auben because _______.

A: Great people to work with when it comes to investments, advice, service, etc. There are some great people working at Auben like Tyson Schuetze, Phillip Vera, Alex Becker, Christina Brown and no doubt many others.
